What we do not stock, and why

A short list is a decision, not a shortage. These are the categories we have turned down and the reason each one did not survive the check.

We hold twenty-six lines. People sometimes read that as a shop still filling up. It is not: several categories have been looked at and left out on purpose.

Electrical desk items

Charging hubs, lamps and heated trays need certification we are not set up to verify for every batch. Selling an electrical item we cannot stand behind is a bigger problem than a thin catalogue.

Anything sold by “set” without a piece count

A large share of desk organisers arrive described as a set with no reliable count of what is inside. Where we cannot confirm the contents, we do not list it, because a listing that guesses is a listing that will be returned.

Fragile acrylic

Clear acrylic photographs beautifully and cracks in transit at a rate we were not willing to pass on to customers. We may return to it if we find a supplier who packs it properly.

Branded stationery

We are a retailer with our own name on the shop, not on the goods. We do not present ourselves as an authorised dealer for any manufacturer, and we do not put manufacturer names in our own product titles.

What this costs you

Less choice. What it buys is that everything on the shelf has been opened, measured and photographed here, and that the description matches what turns up.
